Service Description

The primary purpose of the Babysitter’s Training Course is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care to children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic childcare and basic first aid. Designed primarily for youth ages 8 and older, this course will prepare students to be better babysitters. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. The course consists of six interactive modules featuring videos, activities, games, and tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable certificate and be ready to begin babysitting!
